I really enjoyed the central location of the hotel, making it easy to stroll around and discover nearby attractions like the beautiful Newark Castle and the peaceful Devon and Sconce Park just a short walk away. plus, the friendly staff made my stay even more pleasant with their quick communication and assistance when needed.

The bed was super comfy, but the room was filthy with dust everywhere.

Damp smell from the bathroom and some visible stains on walls hint at a need for better upkeep. Space in the en suite is tight, especially for larger individuals, and the shower pressure leaves a lot to be desired. One room needed a torch to enter due to inadequate lighting, which adds an unnecessary complication to the stay.

I loved the homely feel of the Lady Elizabeth suite, with its mini kitchen and natural light! Just beware of the steep steps if you have luggage. 🛏️

The Standard Double Room was cozy and super comfy! The bed was soft enough, and the sofa also felt inviting. I was really pleased with the self-check-in process. it made things so easy. Just a heads-up, I didn’t check for a toaster and sink until I got there, but honestly, it was well worth it. Great value for a short stay.

The bed in my room was remarkably comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The smooth self check-in process was efficient and hassle-free. the central location enabled me to easily explore nearby attractions like Newark Castle and the parks that were just a stroll away from the hotel.

Some areas could use a touch-up. for example, the bathroom had a lingering damp smell.

the location is super convenient for the registry office and town centre. the rooms are spacious with useful kitchen stuff like kettles and toasters. the suite is gr8 for getting ready, lots of room for the bride and makeup. beds were comfy and it was nice and warm during the cold weather! grandkids loved the family room with bunk beds too!

the bathrooms could be compact for older guests, so be careful. some areas need a little cleaning and attention, like the dusty corners and tight spaces.
